Our cycling tours are inspired by two great forces;
our love of cycling and our curiosity for the unknown. For us there is
no greater joy than spending countless hours in the sun, pedaling endless
kilometres and discovering new places. But don’t be mistaken, an OYE!
Cycling Tour is a vacation, your vacation, and you’re choosing to spend
it cycling and getting to know another country. That’s why we created
these tours to give you an overall fantastic cycling experience but also
provide opportunities for you to really get a feel for the towns and cities
you cycle through. We do this by keeping the groups small and the schedule
flexible. As a smaller group we can get into places larger tours can’t
access; with a flexible schedule we can spend a few more minutes (or hours)
at a beach, waterfall or restaurant, taking in the sights and sounds around
us.
All of our cycling tours are created so that our guides, vehicles, accommodations,
meals (we LOVE good food) and rides are the only elements of the tour
that we want carved in stone, the rest of it is part of the adventure.
We want you to have a good sense of just how great food in Cuba is, for
this reason we only include beakfast in the cost of the tour. That way
you can choose if you want lobster, ropa vieja (shredded jerk
beef) or rice, beans and yucca. Most of the food you will eat on our tours
is organic and there is usually a great selection of freshly caught fish
and seafood.
Is it our job to make sure you are looked after, so take advantage of
it! We will arrange activities based on what’s happening in the towns
we travel to (on a recent bike trip there was a music festival with Cuba's
most popular artists) as well as interest. We want you to feel relaxed
but also have a magical experience on our tours. We go to great lengths
to ensure your safety and comfort while on a ride and throughout the duration
of the tour. And because we know that not all cyclists or aspiring cyclists
are created equal, we have a variety of tours for different comfort levels
and distances. That said the support vehicle will always accompany the
group on a ride longer than 70 K. And remember, we’re not racing; we’re
touring – though we’re sure there will be moments of inspiration. For
the truly adventurous we also offer unsupported itineraries for some of
our tours; that’s right, just you and your panniers and your trusty guides
getting you from one city to the next.
