This adventure in Peru will take you to the capital city of the ancient Inca Empire, Cusco. A mountain bike tour through the Sacred Valley; a river rafting adventure in the sacred Urubamba River; a 3 day sea kayaking experience in the highest navigable Lake in the world (Titicaca Lake in Puno); and a guided tour in the lost Inca citadel of Machu Picchu will be the highlights of this once in a lifetime adventure. This one week tour is designed for energetic travelers who want to understand the complexities of life in Cuba, from its colonial past, through the revolution to modern day times. Dialogue with students from the University of Havana and find out what the youth think about Cuba today and their future. Students will travel a vast part of the country visiting sites that will help them gain an understanding of Cuba’s history, and its people. After a week traveling throughout Cuba, the biggest island in the Caribbean, our travelers will feel they’ve had a lesson in culture and history, not to mention fun, without ever having stepped into a classroom.
